Bobbi Brown Crushed Lip Color has been available in counters for several months now. I remember trying it on at the launch of Bobbi Brown Holiday 2017 collection, as seen in THIS POST. It was love at first try since it’s perfect for those who have dry lips. It’s very moisturizing– it feels like a balm, but loaded with pigments like a lipstick. Recently, Bobbi Brown released 3 new limited edition shades curated exclusively by our girl crushes Molly Chang, Sazan Hendrix, and Dalal Al Doub.

Molly Wow is a bright pink coral. Sazan Nude is soft pink nude, while Daring Daladid is rich violet plum.
In terms of formula and texture, I was told that these limited edition shades are exactly the same as the Crushed Lip Color collection. I’m not sure why but the first time I tried these new shades, I thought this set was different. I thought they were more pigmented, but I was assured that they have the same formula as the permanent collection. It’s probably just because I tried on a light shade from the permanent collection.
Although Crushed Lip Color lipstick doesn’t have that staying power as it disappears after drinking or eating, it’s a favorite among beauty enthusiasts because it has the comfort of a lip balm with the pigment of a lipstick. Bobbi Brown even calls it their most wearable lip color to date. It has vitamins C and E and beeswax, creating that balmy formula and leaving lips hydrated.
And why am I crushing on Bobbi Brown Crushed Lip Color even more? I can create different looks from blotted-down look in one swipe to intense color by just layering the lipstick. The texture is versatile enough to play around. I can do a two-tone lip, just-bitten lip, or multi-dimensional lip.
And did I say it’s mistake-proof? It is so easy to apply that I don’t need a mirror.
