A few weeks ago, my Sample Room family invited me to Colour Collection’s Hot Hues event, featuring their new Ultimate Wear Lipstick summer-ready shades. Well, a girl can never have enough lippies, so I left my stall in World Trade Center that day and went all the way to Holiday Inn Makati. Haha!
But before I let you see the star of the event, check out their eye shadow palettes and blushes. I heard a lot of good reviews on Colour Collection’s blushes.
Now, here are the new luscious lip colors from Color Collection Ultimate Wear Lipstick. This summer, Colour Collection brings us five new summer-ready shades: Headturner, a show-stopping pink color that packs a punch; Temptress, an irresistibly sexy deep red shade that attracts romance; Queen Bee, a bright red shade that spells power; Bellissima, a lively coral shade that brightens your smile; and Angelic, a soft rosy nude color for everyday wear.
I’ve tried a few lipsticks from Colour Collection and for the price, I must say, the quality is really good. During the event, I wore their Ultimate Wear Lipstick. This line is great for those who love the stained effect on the lips that could last for long hours. It’s also moisturizing and lightweight.

Lip Trend: Two-Toned Lips
Using two different lipstick shades for the upper and lower lip. This is definitely something unique. If you don’t want to attract too much attention, use lipsticks in the same color family.
Lip Trend: Red Carpet Glam
If there’s one thing very noticeable during award-giving season, well, it is raining red lips on the red carpet. Haha! That’s Hollywood glamour!
Lip Trend: Ombre Lips
This lip trend is not really new. We’ve seen it in fashion shows, magazines and television. The application involves mixing two shades of lipstick to create a seamless transition of colors.
Lip Trend: Femme Fatale
We don’t need to have all shades of lipsticks. We can always mix different lipsticks to create another beautiful shade. Sometimes, you can even use your eye shadow. To get that most wanted deep cherry color, apply a bit of black eye shadow all over the lips then swipe over your red lipstick. Blend it well using a lip brush.
