Summer is definitely nearing when you’re starting to see comfy and colorful footwear! Didn’t I excite you when I posted the photo below on my Instagram (lush_angel), Twitter (lush_angel), and Facebook page (facebook.com/lushangelblog)? 😀 Well, you should be! Flossy, a Spanish footwear brand that landed in the Philippines late last year, just launched their Spring/Summer 2015 Collection! 😀
Flossy’s Spring/Summer 2015 collection launch was held at The Henry Hotel, which I immediately fell in love the moment I entered the compound, by the way. The rustic vibe and old Spanish-like houses are very much apt for this event. This celebration was also made possible by Res|Toe|Run, a premiere concept shoe store that carries a dynamic range of unique and hard to find footwear brands from all over the world (and Flossy is one of its newest addition to its roster of footwear selection).
The launch event reflected the youthful and festive spirit of Spain, complete with a Mariachi Band and a fun Pinata Breaking ceremony! 😀 And of course, Flossy’s founders, Arash Jasseb and Luke Charlesworth, were also present during the event.
First of all, let me give a quick introduction about Flossy.

Flossy Spring/Summer 2015 Collection
The collection is divided into five ranges- Classics, Originals, New Edit, Exclusives, Prints, as well as Kids.
The Classics offer sleek monochrome tones with soft leather trims and matching white soles, soft grain Italian calfskin materials and neoprene fluorescents with black contrast trim and soles. The Decks, brand new for women this season, take on a cool sporty mesh in fresh orange, navy and white colorways reminiscent of characteristic sporty attire.
If you want it shining and shimmering, Flossy has a metallic range with soft washed suedes in gold, pewter, and rose gold for a casual toned down look or hot disco sparkles in silver, pewter, and dark nude.
For this season, Flossy brings twist to the modern ethnic trend by adding woven uppers to give texture to the pieces. They have espadrilles that is offered in natural sub linens and quirky lace mesh.
They also have multi-colored Mexican graphics, animal prints with neon trims, and cool monochrome chevrons that give a fresh new take on ethnic prints and patterns. Other prints that can be found in the collection include bold 90s graphics, bright and clashing colors, eye-popping neons, and modern florals with a style to suit every taste.
The Flossy Experience
I was able to fit one of the displays during the event and I must say, I was really like stepping on clouds! Imagine those scuba footwear, but now you can actually wear a stylish pair to the mall, to the beach, to a party, or to wherever! Oooh, I can’t wait to get my own and wear it during my travels. I love comfy footwear whenever I travel. Since I try to go to a lot of places, my feet should be the least of my worries.
And when it comes to their designs, I know not all are comfortable wearing bold prints and colors. Although they have the classics, it’s nice to add something fun in an outfit. Plus, it’s summer!
