In case you still haven’t noticed, I don’t really put on too much eye makeup. Not that I’m not fond of it. In fact, I love collecting eye palettes! I just don’t have the time, so at most, I only apply eyeliner and mascara for my everyday look. But of course, on special occasions, I make sure to allot time and effort on my eye makeup. SM Beauty launches their newest campaign, All Eyes On You, this month of October. It highlights four makeup trends accentuating the eyes, perfect for the coming holiday festivities. Hey, it’s 80 days to go before Christmas so expect back to back reunions and parties. Seeing the special people in our lives doesn’t happen everyday, so I guess it’s a must to look our best on these occasions.
During the launch event, we were lucky to attend a quick workshop on how to play with colors and textures by Valerie Chua.
We really had to get those creative juices flowing. We used Fashion 21 Eyeshadow Palette and BYS Glittery Eye Creme and Pencils on our work.
We were introduced to the four makeup trends – Pop of Color (to instantly brighten up the eyes), Sultry Neutrals (a kick of versatility without sacrificing style), Shadow Play (for daring nights, which uses mattes and dark hues), and Gold Sparkle (for that extra oomph).
These eye makeup looks were translated by Xeng Zulueta’s tutorial. Personally, I’ve always loved Sultry Neutrals. It’s my go-to eye makeup look. But on those days I want to look extra special, I go for Gold Sparkle.
