Rainy days are here and the change in weather also means skin can be prone to dryness, redness, or irritations. And to help all the ladies out there who experience such skin dilemmas, I’m sharing my thoughts on the Physiogel Calming Relief Face Care Range. For those who have been visiting my blog for quite some time now, you’ve probably read my thorough review of the face cream, which is part this line. Today, let me introduce the entire range.
The Physiogel Calming Relief Face Care Range is beneficial to those with dry or very dry skin and sensitive or reactive skin – which may include red patches that feel rough and scaly, itching, burning or stinging sensations. This line can help soothe, relieve and calm the skin, which I will be explaining how later on. So, what are the products included in Physiogel Calming Relief Face Care Range?
Physiogel Calming Relief Face Cream
This is a light, daily moisturizing cream that is fast absorbing and provides immediate and long-lasting relief, restoring skin comfort for a healthy looking, even-toned complexion.
Despite my oily skin, I’m able to use this variant of face cream day and night. I can say that it is effective in calming the redness of my skin. It also made my skin smoother.
This is the face cream I used for the 14-day challenge, which you can read more about here: https://lushangel.com/2016/03/03/physiogel-calming-relief-face-cream-14-day-challenge/

Physiogel Calming Relief Face Cream Rich
This face cream does exactly the same thing as the first variant, except that this has richer formula – specifically formulated for very dry and tight skin. It is also a long-lasting daily moisturizing cream that immediately relieves dryness. It reduces facial redness and restores comfort for more soothed, even toned skin
I tried it on my oily skin, but I find it a bit heavy for day use. Although for night use, it makes my skin really soft and supple the next day!
I also asked a friend with very dry skin to use it daily for review purposes. I got very good feedback from her as the red patches on her face, which she usually gets due to the change in weather, were visibly reduced. The Physiogel Calming Relief Face Cream Rich also stopped the flaking of her skin. It provided her instant hydration, which could last all day.
Physiogel Calming Relief Gentle Cream Cleanser
This gently cleanses without disrupting the skin’s moisture barrier, effectively removing dirt and impurities. It can even be used as makeup remover for light makeup. This creamy cleanser leaves skin feeling soft and supple.
The Physiogel Calming Relief Gentle Cream Cleanser is a no-rinse cleanser, which means you can just wipe off the cleanser with facial tissue or cotton pads. I have yet to get used to this method though. Especially since I have oily skin, I find the formula a bit heavy for day use. I can only use it when I’m staying at home for the day or before going to bed. Although during the Physiogel Calming Relief launch in Bangkok, I was able to try the cleanser, followed by the face cream, then makeup on top – and to my surprise, the makeup did not slide off even after 5 hours!
Again, I asked my friend with dry skin to try out this cleanser. She said, the cleanser and face cream combo really helped in making her skin hydrated all throughout the day despite the cooler weather these days or being in an air conditioned room. By the way, her skin is very sensitive (the type that she can’t just use any cleansers over the counter) and she pointed out how gentle this cleanser is. It didn’t cause her irritations. In fact, it helped in calming the redness of her skin.
The Technology Behind Physiogel Calming Relief Face Care
So, how is it effective in soothing, relieving and calming the skin? All these Physiogel Calming Relief face care products contain Physiogel BioMimic Technology, which repairs the skin’s natural moisture barrier. The formula contains lipids that are similar to those found in the skin. By mimicking the skin’s natural lipid structure and replacing the lipids missing from dry skin, skin’s hydration is improved, at the same time, bacteria and allergens from the outside are blocked.
