Laura Mercier Holiday 2013 White Magic

When Jeffrey Tasker, Global Makeup Artist of Laura Mercier, visited the Philippines, the Laura Mercier team presented to us the Laura Mercier Holiday 2013 White Magic Collection together with their other new products. I’ve already featured some of those that I’ve tried, like the amazing Smooth Finish Foundation Powder and the comfortable Rouge Nouveau Weightless Lip Colour.

Laura Mercier Holiday 2013 Colour Story White Magic features fresh and luminous look, with light-diffused pastels for eyes and brilliant high-shine colors for the lips. The collection has illuminating shades for that holiday sparkle. Check them out below. You’ll also be seeing some of them later on in this post as Jeffrey did a makeup demonstration on the White Magic look.

Now, let me show you first other interesting new products from Laura Mercier.

Laura Mercier Longwear Creme Eye Pencil (PHP 995)

It’s an ultra-smooth long-wearing pencil to line and define the eyes. It has creamy and water-proof formula that glides smoothly. It comes in different shades: Noir, Espresso, Slate, Violet, Cobalt, Sage.

Laura Mercier Foundation Primer – Protect with SPF 30 PA+++ (PHP 1,550 50ml)

Laura Mercier foundation primers has created a buzz all over. I’ve tried the oil-free version and I love using it for everyday. You can read on my detialed Laura Mercier Foundation Primer Oil Free Review in THIS POST. Now, this well-loved foundation primer comes with an added benefit of broad spectrum UVB/UVA sunscreen SPF 30 PA+++. It has oil free formula which forms an even, invisible latyer that acts as a buffer to outside elements and keeping makeup fresh for hours. It’s said to be perfect for all skin types, even those with sensitive skin. I can’t wait to try it myself, so wait for my review about it!

Laura Mercier Smooth Finish Foundation Powder (PHP 2,250)

This silky-smooth innovation offers a natural veil that imparts a color true finish. It glides on effortlessly, camouflages, hydrates and visibly reduces lines. Laura Mercier Rouge Nouveau Weightless Lip Colour (PHP 995)

Laura Mercier released a weightless lipstick that’s even more hydrating! Laura Mercier Rouge Nouveau Weightless Lip Colour is 100% wax-free and delivers pure, long-lasting breathable colour. Let me share with you Jeffrey Tasker’s quick makeup demonstration.

Jeffrey first prepared Mica’s face using the Foundation Primer Protect.

He then went on with the application of Laura Mercier Smooth Finish Foundation Powder using a stippling brush. Take note that he didn’t use any concealer. For areas that need more coverage, he used the sponge and dabbed it under the eyes and on blemishes.

To give dimension to the face, he used bronzer to contour and Second Skin Cheek Color Blush for some color.

Now for that instant glowing effect, Jeffrey used the magical Laura Mercier Spellbound Highlighter. It can be used wet or dry. For this look, he chose to do wet application using a foundation brush.

Woot, that’s an instant sun-kissed glow!!! 😀

Fixing the brows is ultimately important as it frames the face.

He then used the Tightline Cake Eye Liner from the White Magic collection. A lot of us skip this step when applying makeup, but look at how it can actually make a difference.

Left without tightline; Right with tightline. It can make the eyes look bigger and even more defined. Take note that this doesn’t have eyeliner yet.

For the eyes, he used the Spellbound Highlighter all over the eye area and a pearly white shadow for the brow bone area.

He used the new Kohl Liner Extreme to create that sexy smoky eye. The application doesn’t have to be perfect as the edges are also blended out. It’s a quick way to do smoky eyes. 😉

See the difference of Mica’s left and right eyes? Jeffrey did two kinds of smoky eye makeup. The left is more subtle as he used black eye shadow. For more sultry look, he used the Kohl Liner Extreme on her right eye. See how it’s more pigmented? So, which one is more wearable for you? As for me, I do both depending on the occasion and where I am going. 😉
