I rarely post about formal dresses. Since I’ve been attending several weddings for the past months, I guess it’s about time to share what I’ve been wearing.
This dress was made by a very good friend, Michael Leyva. He’s now my family’s favorite designer. 🙂 I usually go to him without any pegs or anything in mind. I trust him so much that I leave it all up to him. I just tell him for what occasion and what time of the day it will be held. He then works his magic from there and gives me several options. And I must say, he never disappoints. Oh, and his dresses fit so well that I only need one fitting – no adjustments. Yay! Thanks Michael! 😀
I attended an out of town wedding of a friend. The couple first had their church wedding in the afternoon and held their dinner reception at a beach. I just changed my sandals from heels to wedges so I can easily walk.
The top is made of lace with a little bit of shiny shimmery underneath. The skirt is made of drapes with a little train. I know some are not so comfortable wearing dresses with trains, especially if you’ll be wearing it to the beach because of the thought that you might be “raking the sand”. Well, I had some hesitations at first but I thought it might even look “dramatic”. Haha! The only downside of long backs I guess is when you get to the end of the reception when you want to dance. 😉
I prefer neutral makeup on formal occasions. I used Happy Skin All Eyes On Hue Eyeshadow Palette and Happy Skin Feeling Sculptacular Face Contour Kit. I’ll definitely share my reviews on theses products. For my lips, I used Tory Burch Lipstick in Saucy, which I reviewed in THIS POST. I used 3 products for my brows: Benefit Brow Zings, MAC Brow Set in Girl Boy, and Happy Skin Eye Love View Pencil & Marker Eyebrow Duo. I chose Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation for a flawless and natural finish. To give my pale skin some color, I used Benefit Rockateur blush. And for more defined eyes, I lined my eyes with K-Palette Liquid Eyeliner.
