Who can you consider “wo(man)’s bestfriend”? Well, there’s makeup for sure. And of course, dogs! But who would have thought makeup and dogs could go well together?! I guess, only MAC could think of that and they call it, MAC Haute Dogs Collection.
Obviously, being a makeup and dog lover, this collection is simply perfect for me! Thanks to my dear friend for dragging me to the event! (Thanks Alyssa!) Well, she knows every single detail I went through recently because of my baby Dolce’s sickness. Anyway, enough of my drama. I might just end up crying here and not finish this post again. (For those who haven’t read my personal post about it, here’s the link: http://lushangel.com/2015/09/08/my-last-goodbye-to-dolce/)
So during the event, we had a makeover. I was able to try the new MAC Studio Waterweight foundation and some of the makeup from the MAC Haute Dogs collection. I’ll tell you more about those in a bit.
The makeup artist also used the 24-hour Extend Eye Base. My eye shadow didn’t crease at all, even if I wore it all day. Take note that I have very oily lids.
For my cheeks, that’s Cheeky Bronze Mineralize Skinfinish from the Haute Dogs collection. For my eyes, one of the eye shadow palettes from the new collection was also used.
For the finishing touch, the makeup artist applied Fashion Pack lippie on me. Unfortunately, this won’t be a permanent shade, but it’s a perfect peachy-nude if you’re going for a fresh look.
MAC Haute Dogs Collection
MAC Haute Dogs collection features buttery fur tones, gold-spun sculpting powders and regal berries for lips. If you noticed from the eye shadows and the Mineralize Skinfinish, they’re all shimmery. Fall doesn’t have to be boring. In fact, it’s the time of the year wherein we start to prepare for the holidays. So, why not go for something sparkly as early as now? Besides, they’re all neutrals. I’m not complaining because I’m in love with such shades. A girl like me can never have enough neutrals!
Check out the two eye shadow palettes from the collection. As you can see, the shades can easily be used for day and night looks.
In this collection, I have my eyes set on the Mineralize Eye Shadows, Mineralize Rich Lipsticks, Mineralize Skinfinish, and Brow Liner.
Mineralize Eye Shadows PHP 2,750; Mineralize Rich Lipsticks PHP 1,500; Mineralize Glass PHP 1,500; Lip Pencil PHP 1,000; Mineralize Skinfinish PHP 2,750; Brow Liner PHP 1,280; Sculpting Powder PHP 1,400; Fluidline PHP 1,100; Nail Lacquer PHP 750
MAC Studio Waterweight SPF 30 Foundation
Another new from the brand (that is definitely a must-try!!!) is the MAC Studio Waterweight foundation, which is the latest addition to their foundation line.
Surprisingly, I can say that this satin-finish foundation is great for all skin types. Oily-skinned individuals, like myself, will love how lightweight this is. There’s no oily or greasy feel. You might just need to use a good oil-control primer and setting powder. On the otherhand, those with dry skin can use this foundation too since it’s not matte-finish. One can easily use a heavy moisturizer first before applying Studio Waterweight.
Best of all, if you’re a fan of MAC Face & Body foundation, this MAC Studio Waterweight foundation has more coverage. It can easily be layered from light to medium, but it can still look like real skin. It even has the added benefit of SPF 30!
MAC Vamplify
And for the lippie lovers, they have MAC Vamplify. The glosses and pencils come in a wide range of colors- from nudes to reds.
Whew, that was quite long! But yeah, a lot of exciting products from MAC are currently in stores! So, what are your picks?
