Finally, I’m posting about my fitness journey! I’ve already shared a few articles about my exercise, diet, etc., but since I’ve been getting a lot of inquiries on the workouts I do, might as well make it a permanent here on my blog – which is why I already added Health & Fitness category up there on my header. Although I love beauty, fashion, and travel, it’s about time to add something new. The change can be a bit frightening, to be honest, because it’s totally different from my personality – timid and very feminine. My friends who know me for a while now couldn’t believe it as well that I’m now into health and fitness. Well, people do change and (I think) it’s for the better.

If you’ve been following my blog for a while now, I believe I mentioned how all of these started. It’s when I tried circuit training in preparation for my Nepal trip, where I did my first ever hike – make that a 4-day hike! Since then, I realized how important it is to be fit. When I got back from Nepal, I was determined to be healthy and continued going to the gym. Of course, part of me wants to achieve my #bodygoal too! Well, besides the physique, health is wealth! It’s almost a year now and so far, I think I’m doing a great job. I’ve gained strength and muscles, but I definitely have a long way to go. And since working out has been part of my lifestyle and learned to love it, it’s about time to share my exercises here in my blog too. So, I really need everyone’s support to keep me motivated! Note though that I’m definitely not a fitness expert nor I’m trying or claiming to be one. Therefore, good vibes only please. 😀

And since (hopefully) my YouTube channel will return from the dead as I create more workout videos, the new Smart GigaSurf 50 came right on time. It will enable me to share my big changes and training progress, at the same time, subscribers can get updated (and watch my videos) through its 1GB data offer. For P50, subscribers get – 1GB open access data, PLUS 300MB for YouTube, iflix and more. #SmartGigaSurf50 is also big enough for subscribers to share with others through Pasadata. To enjoy this latest offer, simply text GIGA50 to 9999. After subscribing, time to watch my workout video below! Hehe!

First on my list is my back workout. I’ve been wanting to develop my back – not overly manly and muscular, but I aim to have some definition. Developing the back can also strengthen the neck and spine for improved posture. I know, a lot of ladies (and gents) focus on abdominal muscles, but do you know that a strong back can improve core strength as well? Yup, it can give support to the abs.

Anyway, sharing what my back day looks like. Watch and enjoy my short video below. My full workout with the number of sets and reps towards the end of the post.

P.S. Please don’t mind my serious face! Haha! Remember, slowly but surely! It is not how heavy you lift, but doing it right is more important.

Note that close supervision is a must on some of the exercises, especially the deadlift. Wrong posture can cause serious injuries as we’re dealing with the spine here.

Here’s a summary of my back day:

  • Deadlift – 4 sets x 10, 8, 6, 4 reps
  • Cable Pull-down – 3 sets x 10 reps
  • Bent-over Barbell Row – 3 sets x 10 reps
  • Seated Cable Row – 3 sets x 10 reps (not in the video)
  • Single-arm Dumbell Bent-over Row – 3 sets x 10 reps (not in the video)
  • Back Extension – 3 sets x 20 reps
