I discovered Maquillage back in Japan when it was not available yet here in the Philippines. It targets the younger clients of Shiseido. This does not mean it falls short on quality though — of course, Shiseido wouldn’t allow that! Today, I thought of sharing the must-have face products of Maquillage this season. Here’s the Maquillage 2017 Collection with prices and my initial review.
Maquillage 2017 Collection: Dramatic Mood Veil Silky

The Dramatic Mood Veil Silky is a face color in 5 shades and 5 textures. It can look intimidating at first but you can simply swirl your fluffy brush around to mix all shades and use it on your cheeks. You can also use them individually as highlighter, blush, blending shades, and even to brighten the under eye area. I love the creamy texture as it melts into my skin. The shimmer looks natural, without a trace of powder. It gives me that “glow from within” look. It does not highlight pores or dry patches too.
Maquillage 2017 Collection: Flat Change Base

Flat Change Base is a partial-use or spot-specific makeup base that corrects pores and oily shine. It is meant to be used on the “Diamond Zone”, that is the T-Zone, eyelids and lips, where pores and oily shine are more apparent.
It looks like a lip balm, which makes the product quite harder to get and apply compared to tube or pump packaging. I have oily skin and it is good in controlling oil and blurring out pores. It helps in letting my makeup stay longer.
Maquillage 2017 Collection: Dramatic Loose Powder

Dramatic Loose Powder is “non-powdery” loose powder that blends well into the skin with long lasting translucence and luster. The moist, fine powder spreads and adheres to the skin surface without friction. Wrapped in luster and translucence, the skin’s texture appears refined, for a higher quality finish that lasts all day.
I like that it’s lightweight and unscented. It doesn’t give me a white cast in photos too.
Maquillage 2017 Collection: Perfect Black Liner

This is a jet black liquid eyeliner for drawing lines without blurring. It has a sturdy pointed nylon brush that can easily draw thin or thick lines.
Maquillage 2017 Collection: Watery Rouge
Php 1,150
This is a tint-type rouge that leaves a long-lasting lightweight finish. It’s moisturizing and lips look supple. I love the luxurious packaging too! It has an angled doe foot applicator for easier application.
