As much as we love the sun, sand and sea, post beach trip skin can be que horror! Fine, your tan is amazing, but your face can be a disaster. In my experience, I usually get a lot of blackheads, whiteheads, and dry and dull face; therefore, I thought of sharing skin care tips after a beach trip to avoid such dilemmas.
Yes, applying sunblock every so often is a must when you’re out in the sun. The problem with this is you’re also re-applying the sunblock while you have a lot of dirt, sand and oil on your face. This can be the cause of those little white bumps on your face after a beach trip.
My tip: Before re-applying sunblock, make sure to clean your face with wet facial wipes or if you can wash your face, better. Then, exfoliate to get rid of clogged pores. This can prevent blackheads, whiteheads or those little bumps you usually get after a beach trip. In my experience, using an exfoliating facial cleanser every 3 days works for me, so if your beach trip is more than 3 days, pack an exfoliating cleanser. Just make sure to use gentle exfoliators as skin can be very sensitive after long periods of sun exposure.

Get a facial
I always book an appointment at Facial Care right after a beach trip. I have two favorites: Honey Almond Facial and Oxygen Cell Renewal Therapy Facial.
Honey Almond Facial is a more basic treatment but it is complete with scrub and extraction to remove dead skin cells and unclog pores and anti-aging mask.
Oxygen Cell Renewal Therapy Facial, on the other hand, is more intensive as it regenerates the skin from deep within, using highly concentrated pure oxygen to deliver anti-aging active ingredients. Skin is instantly rehydrated. See my full review and my video of the entire process in this post: https://lushangel.com/2017/09/13/facial-care-oxygen-cell-renewal-therapy-review-video/
Put on a face mask
A way to get instant hydration is to put on a face mask. This helps brighten your dull sun-drenched skin. After a beach trip, I do this more often – 3 to 4 times a week. I even pack hydrating face masks with me during beach trips so I can use it at night. Make sure though not to use whitening face masks since these might have ingredients that promote peeling, which means sun exposure must be avoided.
